Living in Shanghai

March 4, 2008

From Suzhou ...

Here, finally are in the room. It seems that communication is my forte, so my boss has given me ... another school in Suzhou, or rather, amidst brecani after Suzhou. What's more, since last Friday's emergency school to succeed until it culminated yesterday with the resignation of the chef.

So, yours truly with a night of notice did the mini-trolley and walked off to this town of a few million inhabitants, known as "the Venice of China" (but where?), Where he lived until Thursday.

The day today has seen the order, one at 6 am up early to drive home-station-Suzhou-school over the total duration of two hours. Presentation to staff and Chef handover and, of course, was on duty as usual. Meeting with the head of the school recently cocks to vicious parents, turning of omelettes omelettes (a masterpiece). Lunch with food arrived a minute before it was too late. Coaching the new menu and chef of orders. Panics of the new chef at the pace "I'm going back to Shanghai, please" (I thank my colleague for "Sermon on the cook with the first" I'd never be able to do). Waiting until late because of the cook so the next day was sure to make time. Back in the center of Suzhou and check-in (an hour's drive). Dinner with three-site manager and chef including "Discourse with the second part of the cook," of which I am particularly proud, in spite of China's worst recent months. Dragging and here I am slow in the room, close to collapsing on the bed at nine o'clock shameful. Wake up at 6:15 tomorrow. Goodnight.
