Short Circuits

Occasionally, after a tiring week, relaxing at post "adrenaline post-examination, perhaps in front of a coctktail in a crowded place, perhaps after an afternoon to bargain in China until the last mao (penny). It sometimes happens that all these factors fit together .. which usually means you have passed the girn very hard .. however, it happens.

So what? So here is that the brain is short-circuited, a vicious circle that the tires every time you are wrong with his brain mononeurone who does not know which way to turn around. It happened to me last night. I spoke, and did not understand. Understand, and I could not make a meaningful sentence. The formula, and it seemed that of a Native American from Western movies (I must be tired, you will answer, I could not make sense.)

And so I realized that the poor neuron is doing a lot of exercise, because not only is tortured in learning English, a language like Chinese (with obvious mental mess of relationships), but also a commander who took him all over with people with a strong accent York. No, do not give up Neuro (which in English sounds like "cow meat" in Chinese), will not have your pronunciation before your scalp.

And poor italianenglish synapses followed her into the abyss.

We are still us ...

As you know one of my legs is one of the nice gentlemen of the Chamber of Commerce, yesterday, after time immemorial in exile from the office I've been invited to a birthday party for two friendly Italians who have hired a local integer. I believe that 90% of Italians were in Beijing to work there. Together with other foreigners and especially their Chinese colleagues.

Made me think two things primarily: the first is that Italians abroad have changed from those in which most people think (the children of the old Little Italy in New York for example, cardboard suitcases, the emigrants in Germany ..) . Today's reality is made up of people who seek their dream of China, or who want a simple experience abroad, perhaps in some stage, others for a period of a couple of years. What unites them is that they work, in principle, with or Italian companies. A corollary of this, could not miss a note Triveneto :-) Many, many Venetians are here in Beijing. I would say 50% of those I met was born or lived in the Veneto region (many of those who know the Chinese have passed from Venice). I noticed a cute girl when he joked about the bad quality of Padua (but even here?) And are shot in three (Saonara, Cadoneghe, Rubano). Another good part is from Texas (and down curses on Bergamo :-) ).

In short, we are still us. Those who do not give up big play on small differences of a few kilometers, when six hours by train in China are still "close to Beijing." And we're still us when we do a very Italian train on the edge of kitsch to the tune of "The triangle is not."

And it is so small that hundreds of great stories that weave you realize that there is an Italy that moves and does not want to stop and that, despite some difficulties with their colleagues in Europe, is coming to China.
